China's new leadship-Oridinary lives and extraordinary Dreams
Following the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee in October 2013, the Civilization Magazine launched a special issue featuring exclusive coverage of China's new leadership, including Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, Zhang Dejiang, Yu Zhengsheng, Liu Yunshan, Wang Qishan and Zhang Gaoli, as well as a special report on the Chinese Dream. The issue is a historic milestone, as it employed refined international methods to profile the Party and state leaders in a vivid and stylish way, using photos and text to engage readers both in China and abroad.
The issue offered for the first time a rare glimpse of the careers of China's leaders, showcasing their political career, personal styles and details about their families through enchanting stories of their everyday lives. Many of the photos in the issue were published for the first time. The magazine also revealed the image and working style of the leaders as approachable, intelligent and open people on an equal level with ordinary citizens.
The issue featured General Secretary Xi Jinping on the cover page and offered an in-depth, comprehensive and thorough perspective on the Chinese Dream.
